At a recent GOP event in Florida, Allen West had some strong words for Barack Obama and Democrat leaders.

“Take your message of equality of achievement, take your message of economic dependency, and take your message of enslaving the entrepreneurial will and spirit of the American people somewhere else. You can take it to Europe, you can take it to the bottom of the sea, you can take it to the North Pole, but get the hell out of the United States of America.” ~Florida Representative Allen West

In light of a lot of things that are being said about Mitt’s speech after his win in the Florida primary I feel compelled to defend his words. Disclaimer: I am not endorsing Romney, I am a Ron Paul supporter all the way.

MItt Romney: You Do Care About the Poor

Mitt’s words were poorly chosen, but he really does care about the poor. He donated $4 million to his church last year. Romney and I both believe that it’s the (universal) church that should be taking care of the poor and not the government.

As a Christian libertarian, I believe that the (universal) church should be taking care of the poor, not the government. The church no longer does its job properly, so the least of these have become dependent on the government instead. Under Obama, the social safety net has become a hammock and that’s just not the way it’s supposed to be.

New Susan G. Komen VP is Pro-Life

I’m just taking a wild guess here, but maybe their decision is based partly on economics. In these tough times donations to all charitable organizati­ons are down. A lot of conservati­ves stopped donating because Komen supported Planned Parenthood. I’d be willing to bet their donations will soar after this announceme­nt. It’s a known fact that conservati­ves are more generous than liberals.


One of the reasons why Susan G. Komen for the Cure stopped donating to PP is not even mentioned in the Huffington Post article. It has been a long-standing policy for Komen not to give donations to organizations that are “under investigation.” PP is currently being investigated for possible wrong-doing by Congress and several States Attorneys General.
