Freedom of Choice Act?

[Topic: Life] I sent the following letter to my Senators today:

I’m writing you to urge you to vote against Barbara Boxer‘s misnamed “Freedom of Choice Act” (S-2020) We can’t undo all the pro-life legislation that’s been passed since President Bush took office.

We need to protect women and children from the predatory practices of abortion providers like Planned Parenthood. That’s why I urge you to support the “Unborn Victims of Violence Act” (S-1019) Let’s make sure we pass this important piece of legislation before the general election.

If you’re Pro-Life, I urge you to send a similar letter to your Senator. Go to the Senate website and find your Senator. Then send them an e-mail.

After-Sex Mints?

The It-Takes-A-Village crowd took quite a hit this month. A recent survey shows that children raised by a village will get in more fights, be cruel to other children, become bullies, are meaner, talk too much in class and make demands for immediate attention. All of this becomes obvious by the time they’re in kindergarten. If we could reduce the tax burden on families so that Mommy can stay home, there would be less kids in full-time daycare. Maybe the tax cuts should be deeper and we should spend less money on day care programs that obviously aren’t working.
