Totenberg on Gen. Boykin

“Eight years after NPR’s Nina Totenberg, on Inside Washington, wished death upon Senator Jesse Helms (“If there is retributive justice, he’ll get AIDS from a transfusion, or one of his grandchildren will get it”), on the same show over the weekend she seemingly desired to hasten the death of Army General Jerry Boykin for having supposedly expressed the view that the war on terrorism “is a Christian crusade against Muslims.” Totenberg hatefully advocated: “I hope he’s not long for this world.””

It’s time to fire this chick. If Rush had to resign for his remarks about McNabb, then she deserves to get the ax for her hateful comments eight years ago and especially now for her anti-Christian bias. If she wished death on a Muslim cleric she’d get fired in an instant.

No Liberal Media Outlets

[Laugh, It's Funny] On the June 19 Tonight Show Jay Leno quipped, “And former Vice President Al Gore says he’s looking to develop a liberal cable TV and radio network to counteract Fox and all the conservative shows. Gore says there’s no outlet in this country for the liberal viewpoint. You know except ABC, NBC, CBS, HBO, Bravo, BET, Showtime, Lifetime, MTV, Oxygen, National Public Radio and IFC. Other than that, there’s nothing!”

I guess none of those media outlets are liberal enough for Al? Maybe people don’t want to hear the same, tired old liberal message anymore?

Bernard Goldberg‘s book, Bias, is finally getting some recognition from the liberal media. It’s a New York Times bestseller, but the liberal media haven’t asked Goldberg to appear on their shows like they do with other authors on the bestseller list. After acknowledging that they have been accused of liberal bias themselves, NPR ran an article about Goldberg and allowed him to tell his side of the story. Very interesting.
