Looks like Arizona’s governor is in a world of hurt. It would be
illegal for her to force gas rationing and it seems like it would be
illegal for her to press National Guard troops into trucking gasoline.

I have no sympathy for these people. They’re suffering from their
own NIMBYism and allowing the environmental whacko fringe to have too
much power.

Teachers in Main are

harassing soldier’s kids. They are telling the children
of guardsmen called up for active duty that the war on Iraq
is illegal and immoral. This implies that their parents are
immoral for participating in an illegal war.

What would happen if teachers were harassing the children of
abortionists? There would be an outcry so loud you’d hear it
from Maine to Florida. These teachers need to be severely
disciplined, but it doesn’t look like the children will get
any help from the local school districts or the State
Education Commission.

In a related matter, WABI reports that the National Guard
instructed soldiers to meet with school personnel prior to
deploying to inform them of the deployment and let them
know that the children of soldiers may have some special
emotional issues to deal with as a result. In response,
according to the report, school personnel were less than
cooperative, telling the soldiers, in effect, “That’s your
problem.”

I’m really outraged by this. I served int he Army Reserves when I was single without kids. This happened during the 1st Gulf War, but I was never called to active duty in the Middle East. If I was a parent of one of these children, I’d be in the principal’s office every day demanding he repremand the offensive teachers.

Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that
they should always pray and not give up. He said: “In a
certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor
cared about men. 3And there was a widow in that town who
kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against
my adversary.’
