No Liberal Media Outlets

[Laugh, It's Funny] On the June 19 Tonight Show Jay Leno quipped, “And former Vice President Al Gore says he’s looking to develop a liberal cable TV and radio network to counteract Fox and all the conservative shows. Gore says there’s no outlet in this country for the liberal viewpoint. You know except ABC, NBC, CBS, HBO, Bravo, BET, Showtime, Lifetime, MTV, Oxygen, National Public Radio and IFC. Other than that, there’s nothing!

I guess none of those media outlets are liberal enough for Al? Maybe people don’t want to hear the same, tired old liberal message anymore?

radio network to counter conservative shows like Rush Limbaugh.
They feel the liberal viewpoint is not being heard—except on
TV, in the movies, in music, by comedians, magazines and
newspapers. Other than that, it’s not getting out!”

—Jay Leno

Jay knew he’d get a laugh from this joke. I’m sure everyone in his audience knows the truth—liberals control almost all the media outlets.

Lookout mainstream
media, >here come the bloggers! Because blogs are
personal, we can often scoop the media. Some of the most
popular blogs posted commentary on Bush’s state of the union
address within an hour of the speech. The mainstream media gets
skewered even before people have a chance to read the paper
over their morning coffee. It’s a fast-moving world out there,
and it takes a blogging public to keep up.
