ACLU in bed with terrorists

Moonbats

In a not so suprising development, CAIR National Board Chairman Parvez Ahmed has been elected to the board of the American Civil Liberties Union of Florida.

“American Muslims view the protection of civil liberties as one of the most important issues facing our nation today,” said Ahmed. “By working with the ACLU in Florida, I hope to strengthen constitutional rights and help balance those rights with legitimate national security concerns.” Ahmed is a resident of Jacksonville, Fla.

The ACLU of Florida, with headquarters in Miami, is the local affiliate of the national organization. It has 16 staff members, 16 chapters and more than 22,000 members and supporters across Florida.

CAIR and the ACLU have cooperated on a number of issues at the national level to defile America like defending people with admitted terror ties, destroying National Security, and a number of other anti-American activities.

It really isn’t a suprising move for the ACLU to accept a member to the board from an organization with known terror ties. Its not like its the first time.

As I read about the possibility of National ID cards I worry that the government’s cure may be worse then the disease of terrorism. A recent article about this caught my eye. A spokesman for the Free Congress Foundation said “We think that it is a rash decision that has already been debated and rejected by the American people and to surrender our civil liberties and our constitutional rights in response to this tragedy; it is only then that the terrorists will win,” and I agree with him.

Ben Franklin once said “They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.” I hope the American sheople won’t go along with this. A recent survey by WorldNetDaily showed that most of the people who responded don’t like the idea of a national ID card. 37% said they would not accept a National ID card under any circumstances. 24% said “What’s next, implants on my head or hand?”

That response got me thinking about the Revelations to Saint John the Divine. “He [the beast] also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.” (Chapter 13, verses 16-17) To me, that’s a warning, we shouldn’t let the government force us to carry National ID cards. The next
verse says “This calls for wisdom.” Let’s pray for wisdom for our national leaders.
