Adult Stem Cell Research May Hold Promise for Diabetes Cure

Gainesvile, FL (LifeNews.com)New evidence suggests that adult stem cells may hold the key to unlocking the mystery behind diabetes. The latest findings add to the growing body of evidence suggesting that adult stem cell research is superior to embryonic stem cell research, which involves the killing of human embryos.

Pro-Life scientists don’t want to prevent other scientists from developing cures for diseases like diabetes. They want scientists to use ethical means to develop such sures. Studies like this show that you can make medical advances without killing unborn babies.

A Better Way

In a new commentary, columnist Maggie Gallagher makes her case for finding another way. Embryonic stem cells are not the most effective for research or potential cures. Bio-technology firms supported by venture capitalists are using stem cells. Privately funded research is always better than government funded research, they’re actually motivated to make a profit. Thirteen of 15 firms work with adult stem cells, which are “better behaved,” and therefore better suited for research than embryonic stem cells.

There is no need to kill babies to cure diseases like Parkinson’s, diabetes or paralysis.
