That’s what it says in the Declaration of Independence.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

No matter how many times godless liberals tell us about “separation of church and state,” they’re wrong. They believe if you tell the big lie enough times, that will make it true. It doesn’t.

Government does not give us Life, God gives us life. Misguided judicial rulings and immoral legislation have given us a culture of death. How did we go from a country that valued life so much to a culture that allows so-called doctors to kill innocent babies? We forgot, God gives us life.

Government does not give us Liberty, God gives us liberty. Benjamin Franklin said, “Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.” We cannot allow the government to impose new laws that limit our freedom. That’s the bottom line philosophy of those involved in the TEA Party movement. When God sets you free from sin you have true Liberty!

Government does not allow us to pursue happiness. Government limits our ability to pursue happiness. Government has imposed such an onerous burden on small business owners that it has stifled our economic growth. I’ve heard countless stories of people who want to expand their business but won’t or can’t because there is too much government regulation. They have no idea how much it will cost to comply with new government regulations, like ObamaCare, so they put off hiring new workers. This limits everyone’s ability to pursue happiness.

Obedience to God is the only true way to pursue happiness.

In the United States today, the people act more like sheep and the government is increasingly acting like wolves. So, I thought it might be appropriate to remember some quotes from our Founding Fathers and other wise men.

But we don’t all have to act like sheep if we remember the rights guaranteed to us in the Constitution.
