Anyone with even minimum gun safety training knows the first two rules are…
1. Never point a gun at anyone unless you intend to shoot them.
2. Never shoot anyone unless you intend to kill them.
This gun nut definitely did the wrong thing.

I usually reserve the “Braying Jackass” award for politicians, but Paul Krugman deserves an award for this blog post, where he says in part:
You know that Republicans will yell about the evils of partisanship whenever anyone tries to make a connection between the rhetoric of Beck, Limbaugh, etc. and the violence I fear we’re going to see in the months and years ahead. But violent acts are what happen when you create a climate of hate. And it’s long past time for the GOP’s leaders to take a stand against the hate-mongers.

Gasoline rationing in Arizona?: “Governor considers drastic measure as supplies remain scarce” In WorldNetDaily
Looks like Arizona’s governor is in a world of hurt. It would be
illegal for her to force gas rationing and it seems like it would be
illegal for her to press National Guard troops into trucking gasoline.
I have no sympathy for these people. They’re suffering from their
own NIMBYism and allowing the environmental whacko fringe to have too
much power.
