Observations About Google Zeitgeist 2011

Every year Google publishes a list of the most popular search terms and analyzes their rise and fall. It’s called “zeitgeist.” As I read over the list, I made a few observations:

10. A lot of the searches about the iPad 2 were related to how to “jailbreak” the device.

9. People find Steve Jobs more fascinating than Barack Obama.

8. The world’s worst nuclear disaster ever only made it to 8th place?

7. Glad to know Adele became more popular than Rihanna (at least in terms of Google searches.)

6. Apple didn’t even give us an iPhone 5 this year. What we got was the iPhone 4S.
