I’ve always been a global warming skeptic. I believe the Earth always has, and always will, go through natural warming and cooling cycles. At one time in history the natural cycle of things meant that Greenland was once warmer than it is now. You can’t tell me that anthropogenic global warming is responsible for the much warmer temperatures there thousands of years ago.
The climate scientists that think mankind can change the entire climate of the world in just a few hundred years are arrogant. The Earth has protected itself (or God has protected the earth) from global disasters in the past. Mankind and our activities are of little consequence when you consider the really big picture.
The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it,
the world, and all who live in it;
for he founded it upon the seas
and established it upon the waters. ~Psalm 24:1-2
The recent “Climategate” scandal convinces me that the scientists have been influenced too much by the politicians. The most prominent environmental scientists in the world have been caught fudging the data. Their political masters wanted a particular result and they made their conclusions fit.
Anyone with a basic understanding of the scientific method knows the first thing you do is form a hypothesis. Then you conduct experiments and gather data. You must evaluate and improve your hypothesis as part of the process before you reach a conclusion.
The global warming scientists didn’t do that. They started with a conclusion and made the data fit the conclusion. They didn’t make their original data available for scrutiny by peer review. When their computer models couldn’t reproduce the same results, they changed the programming.
Unless you’ve had your head in the sand for the past few weeks, I’m sure you’ve heard about the HARRY_READ_ME.txt file found on the scientists computers. I am a computer programmer working with huge volumes of financial data. If my code contained comments like those in the “HARRY_READ_ME.txt” file, I would be fired. Because it’s financial data that my employer uses to state earnings, determine cash reserves and make trades it would be illegal to “fudge” the data the way these climate scientists have done.
A lot of my readers are also computer programmers, so I know you know what I’m saying is true. It’s bad programming practice to do a lot of things described in the HARRY_READ_ME file. The computer models, the data and the code are all a bloody mess!
It takes a lot of faith to believe in what the environmental “scientists” are telling you. Do you have enough faith to believe in God?
