- Cunningham narrowly wins second term
Don Cunningham eked out a second term as Lehigh County executive Tuesday, capturing about 51 percent of the vote to Republican challenger Scott Ott’s 49 percent, unofficial results showed.
I know Scott Ott personally and he’s a great guy. His campaign was expecting a 65/35 split in the voting. Getting 49 percent was great for him. He’s got a future in politics, I think. - Written off by the Media, Republicans Win Big!
Make no mistake. The story of Tuesday night was the gubernatorial wins in New Jersey and Virginia. Those two both mark a slap in the face to Obama and the Democrats who are bent on “transforming” America into a socialist nation.
Conservative values win every time because America is still a largely conservative country. Obama’s win was more of a backlash against the failures of the Bush administration. This marks a turning point and convinces me even more that Barack will be a one term President just like Jimmy Carter.
