Muslim terrorizes Utah shoppers | New Trommetter Times

A man who shot and killed five people and seriously injured four others at a Utah shopping mall Tuesday before being shot dead by police was a Muslim refugee from Bosnia, according to immigration officials. Police have said 18-year-old Sulejman Talovic, a legal permanent resident living with his mother, had four minor incidents with police when he was younger, the Salt Lake City Tribune reported.

There are two important things revealed in this story that the drive-by media hasn’t reported. In initial reports the man’s mother is quoted as saying her son was a good boy. The first thing the major media outlets didn’t report was Talovic’s previous run-ins with police.

Second, I haven’t seen a single major news media outlet report that the shooter was a Muslim. I guess they’re still hung up on this “Islam is a religion of peace thing.” You can bet that if it was a Christian fundamentalist, that would have been the first thing they reported about the shooter.

You do realize that Muslim in the former Yugoslavia is a national reference like American or Canadian and not neccessarily a religious one right? I am sure you’re versed in how a Muslim from Bosnia can be an (and are most often) atheist? Or a JW right?

While that may be true, the drive-by media is not reporting his ethnic identity. You can bet the words “fundamentalist Christian” would lead every newscast if the shooter was a member of a Baptist or Pentecostal church.

BTW, you have just admitted to committing a crime. Using a private wireless access point that somebody did not secure is illegal.

Actually from all the school and mall shootings I’ve read about, the ethncity nor the religious identity of the shooter has been discussed.

As for committing the crime, probably, but I live in Baltimore, where the crime is so bad, the area around police headquarters is a open air drug market, so I doubt I’ll have much to fear. Besides, I cannot help when people’s wireless access points force me to make use of them.

Plus, my family is white, rich, and Christian, thus I am above the law.
