HG, we are waiting for God to 'do something useful'. Like rapture His church.

Until then, we all have the FREEDOM to choose to worship Him or to reject Him. He didn't create a bunch of robots, He gave us minds and bodys and allows us to use them however we see fit.

He also gave us His 'instruction manual', however as I think even you will admit - who reads the instructions anymore??

God, you all need to cut the mellow drama. Nobody is going to execute you for praying.

Jesus, why don't we wait for God to do something useful, like say grow back the missing limbs of a child or tell us which interpretation of the bible is correct before we start forcing schools to have prep rallies for him.

Careful Jason, or HG will report you to your employer for insulting him!!

Shall we obey God's laws, or mans??

Pray without ceasing!!

It is perfectly ok to discuss homosexuality at a public school function and if it makes you feel uncomfortable, you are a homophobe.

Try discussing religion or (heaven forbid) PRAYING at a public school function, and you should be sent to jail and executed because you may have hurt someone's feelings.

You are forcing segregation on Christians. You're telling us "Keep your faith in the Church, it doesn't belong in the public square or government."

If judges always followed case law, then we'd still have slavery in this country. Remember Dread Scott? That was once the law of the land.

Once again, HG picks out the parts of the Bible that suit him and ignores those that contradict his beliefs. There are plenty of examples of public corporate prayer throughout the both the Old and New Testaments. Prayer is not just a private thing. But I'm through arguing with HG about the Bible. He has no faith, therefore he has no understanding.

Remember, our lawmakers being each day with a prayer. In both the United States House and the Senate there is an official Chaplain. If our lawmakers pray before doing business, shouldn't students pray before embarking on the rest of their lives?

I'll leave you with this:
<blockquote>
I therefore beg leave to move that henceforth prayers, imploring the assistance of Heaven and its blessing on our deliberations, be held in this assembly every morning before we proceed to business; and that one or more of the clergy of this city be requested to officiate in that service.
<div align="right">Benjamin Franklin at the Constitutional Convention</div>

Way to violate violate Godwin's law Jason. Seriously Jason, there is no segregation of Christians going on, there just not allowed to force everyone to endure their nonsense at government functions. Did you read anywhere in the article about Muslims disrupting the ceremony with a mohammed prep rally? No, because that would violate the judge's order and the establishment clause.

As for the belief that "segergation forced on the Jews by the Nuremburg Laws" , that just displays a level of historical ignorance bad even for an American. Seriously, Christians are not being stripped of human rights, having their marriages annulled and so forth. It's kind of hard to claim persecution when Christians run America.

As for Adamn, the judge's decision is within the law. There are two kinds of law, case law and statuatory law. Statuatory law is thatmade by legistatures. Case law evolves from decisions made by judges. One of the longest and most establish parts of it is that government agencies, functions, and the like, particularly cannot force people to practice or be subject to any religion.

Jason you know who agrees with me on this point? Jesus. Yet again, you and your fellow Christians ignore the bible to flaunt your superiority.

Matthew 6:6 "when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you."

And unlike these show offs, Jesus actually read his bible and followed his instructions "

But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed."
Luke 5:16:

Guy,

You're contradicting yourself. If you believe in a system of laws, like you say you do, then you would object to unelected judges making new laws. There is no law which says you can't have prayer at graduation. This judge is imposing his own views on the students and administrators at this school. If you don't want prayer at graduation then you need to get a law passed in the state legislature that says "no prayers at school functions."

Some people view the current persecution of Christians as equal to the segergation forced on the Jews by the Nuremburg Laws. I'd like to remind you of a poem written by Pastor Martin Niemöller.

First they came for the Jews
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for the Communists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for me
and there was no one left
to speak out for me.

Nope, they're no better than these punk kids. Part of having a system of law, is following it, even when you disagree with it, unless its oppressive. By oppressive, I mean say segregation or the Nuremburg Laws, not just disliking it.

Yeah, I fugured HG would have something lame to say about this issue. But I'm sure he praises students who skip school for anti-war or pro-illegal immigrant protests.

Children today have no respect for the law because of people like you encouraging them to ignore it when suits them.
