Ban Knives!

2nd Amendment

Well, it’s happening. I’ve talked about it before — once the gun grabbers succeed in banning guns, they’ll go after knives. I know a lot of people thought that was a ridiculous assertion, but it’s happening now!

In Britain, the British Medical Journal is now advocating the banning of “long kitchen knives.” They say “they serve no good purpose except as weapons.” And just because it’s not happening her in the U.S., don’t think it can’t happen here in the future.

NASCAR Athletes?

Sports

I’d never been to a NASCAR event until last night. The idea of watching guys go real fast around a track again and again making only left turns doesn’t excite me. But now I’m living in the heart of NASCAR country again.

Flushing the Koran

Opinion

I’m really tired of hearing about how someone flushed a Koran down the toilet at Camp X-Ray. The first time I heard it, I thought it was a ridiculous claim. “How can you flush an entire book down the toilet?” I thought. If the Koran is anywhere near the same size as your average KJV, then it’s impossible.

Apparently, I’m not the only one who had that thought. Frank Salvato wondered the same thing and came to the conclusion Cuban toilets are not better than ours.

Same-Sex Marriage

Libertarians

The way I see it there are three points of view when it comes to same-sex "marriage." There’s the one the homosexual activists support — the government should sanction their marriages the same way they sanction traditional marriage. Then there’s the Focus on the Family view — same-sex "marriage" should be banned because it’s an idea that comes straight from the pits of hell. The third view is one that isn’t talked about very much — the government shouldn’t be in the business of sanctioning marriage at all, it’s a private religious matter.
