Country store becomes shootout site when owners defend themselves

When two men walked into a popular country store outside Atlanta, announced a holdup and fired a shot, owners Bobby Doster and Gloria Turner never hesitated. The pair pulled out their own pistols and opened fire. The armed suspect and his partner were killed. The owners won’t be charged, according to local officials, because they were acting in self-defense.

If you hold up elderly store owners in Georgia, you just might get blown away! The police can’t be everywhere. Sometimes you just gotta’ defend yourself.

Blogging

I had fun writing for the KOTB tournament this week. I’d like to thank Bad Example for the nice things he said about my blog. As for the other things he said, I’ll take them under advisement. I’ve already added a clear link to tell all y’all more about me.

Congratulations to Jon who maintains his place on the throne. Although the score was close. Lookout Jon! David was also a great competitor, maybe we’ll meet on the battlefield again?

South Carolina Takes Choose Life License Plate to Supreme Court

South Carolina’s Choose Life license plate is headed to the U.S. Supreme Court. State officials are asking the high court to uphold the plates from a First Amendment challenge issued by abortion advocacy groups upset that the plates favor one side of the abortion issue.

There’s not first amendment issue here. If pro-aborts want their own license plate they can apply to get it. They can put a slogan like "Protect the Right to Choose" on it. (Whatever the heck "right to choose" means. I’m not real clear on that.) If they can get enough people to back them.

Just because they don’t have their own license plate yet, shouldn’t prevent us from ordering our "Choose Life" plates. I hope SCOTUS takes this case and lets us choose life.
