CBS Considers Matt Lauer, Russert to Replace Rather

The names of NBC’s "Today" show co-host Matt Lauer and "Meet the Press" host Tim Russert are on a wish list of outsiders that CBS has considered as successors to Dan Rather, who announced last week that he would step down in March after 24 years in the anchor chair, Newsweek reports in the current issue.

I certainly hope Lauer is just on the list as a joke. Matt is a joke. I don’t trust him to deliver the truth in morning fluff pieces on the "Today" show. Why would anybody trust him to deliver the serious evening news?

No matter what the ACLU says, George Washington’s Thanksgiving Address proves our Founding Fathers relied on Almighty God.

Whereas it is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favor, and whereas both Houses of Congress have by their joint Committee requested me “to recommend to the People of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many signal favors of Almighty God especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness.”

School district sued for censoring founding documents, state constitutions

In a season typified by lawsuits against manger scenes, crosses and even the words “Merry Christmas,” a California case is taking the “separation of church and state” one step further — dealing with whether it’s unconstitutional to read the Declaration of Independence in public school.

This is just the latest example of liberal lunacy run amok. Why are these people so afraid of references to God? The first amendment protects churches from the government. It doesn’t create religion free zones in public schools.

Investigation Begins When Girl Lets Boyfriend Beat Her to Kill Baby

An investigation is underway in Michigan in the death of an unborn child, which police say is the result of a 16-year-old girl allowing her boyfriend to beat her with a miniature baseball bat.

This callous disregard for human life is that the "pro-choice" movement has given this country. When abortion is legal, teens get the idea that it’s just a "lump of tissue" that can be disposed of by burying it in the back yard.
