We spent the last day of our vacation at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. As soon as we got there, I parked Auburn and Rachel and ran over to Africa to get Fastpasses for Kilimanjaro Safaris. Then I went back to the Tree of Life and we went to see It’s Tough to be a Bug!
After that we wandered over to Asia and saw the most amazing bird show, Flights of Wonder, featuring "Guana Joe." This was the funniest and most amazing thing we say on our trip. You’ve got to see all the pictures.
By that time we were into our Fastpass window and went on the Kilimanjaro Safari.
We left Epcot and took the Monorail thinking it would take us all the way to the Magic Kingdom. It didn’t. We got off the Monorail at this travel plaza in the middle of nowhere. From there we caught a bus over to Fort Wilderness for Thanksgiving at the Fort.
First thing we did when we got there was to have a family portrait made. The final picture package cost an extra $22.50 on top of the $100+ we spent for dinner and a show. (I guess that’s a pretty reasonable price considereing all we got.)
We spent the morning in Future World. The first thing we tried to do was visit Spaceship Earth, but the ride was experiencing technical difficulties and we couldn’t get it. We did get into the World of Energy, hosted by Bill Nye, the Science Guy. After that we went to visit Figment at the Imagination Institute. I grabbed speed passes for Honey, I shrunk the Audience.
We spent most of the afternoon in Frontierland. We took in the Country Bear Jamboree Christmas show, then took the Frontier Train back to Main Street for the Share a Dream Come True parade.
