Crack Team to Move Liberty Bell

Wired News: "The Liberty Bell is moving on Thursday to a new home 300 feet from its current site. Engineers will be keeping close tabs on the bell to make sure its famous crack doesn’t get any worse. By Michelle Delio."

Seems like a lot of trouble to go through just to move The Bell 300 feet? Wonder how much tax money is being wasted on this project?
