Senator Strom Thurmond Dead at 100

“Former Sen. Strom Thurmond, the nation’s longest-serving senator and former “Dixiecrat” (search) candidate for the presidency, died Thursday in Edgefield, SC He was 100.”

Our beloved Senator has died less than a year after he retired. Senator Thurmond served our country for over 60 years, almost 1/5th of the time Our Country has existed.
