Oil War?

Some are accusing the United States of going to war for oil. That’s a ridiculous statement because the US is already abiding by an international embargo of Iraq. We get more of our oil from Venezuala. If we want to go to war for oil, we should invade South America, not the Middle East.
France has contracts with Iraq for billions of barrels of oil.  It’s more likely they’re in it for the oil.

    Why not an oil war?

Many wars will be (probably) waged because oil is running out, and there is not enough of it for all the people on the Planet. Europeans and Americans, cannot live the way they do without oil. Either we, Western people, learn to live with 1/4 of what we use now, or we try to control the sources (i.e. oil producing countries) in order to secure the supply of oil to us.

    The long argument here:

There’d be much more oil available if the Environmental Whackos and their supporters in the Senate would let us drill in ANWR. The proposed drilling area is 1/10th of 1% of the entire land area covered by ANWR. It’s nowhere near the cute polar bears and seals the environmentalists say are near the drilling area. The caribou herds love living near the current Alaskan pipeline, their numbers have increased dramatically in recent years.
