Illegal Rifle
Bad news for the gun-grabbers. The DC “sniper” suspect had a rifle illegally. Which proves one important thing: No matter how many gun laws we have on the books, criminals like John Allen Muhammad will still have guns! Instead, these idiots are calling for stricter gun control laws. They’re completely insane! Stricter gun control laws will only take guns out of the hands of law-abiding citizens. Depriving us of our 2nd Amendment right to bear arms and protect ourselves.
Dune Again
I just finished reading Dune: House Corrino. It reveals a lot about the politics of the Empire just before the start of the original Dune book. We finally see why House Atreides power is ascendant and their arch-enemies the Harkonens are brought low. The Emperor’s power is questionable and the Bene Gesserit are on their way to becoming rulers in their own right. I think I’ll have to re-read the original trilogy now.
Seems like I can’t get enough of Dune. My next reading project is Dune: Butlerian Jihad.
