people at the Earth Summit in Joburg are crazy
panelists taking part in a televised debate complained about the
“pernicious introduction of the flush toilet.” The female panelist
from india said “the flush toilet encourages excessive water
consumption around the world and is not ecologically friendly.” So
it would be more ecologically friendly to use an outhouse?

Watermelons in Africa
Johannesburg, South Africa is filled with watermelons. Well-meaning, but misguided people who are “green on the outside, but red on the inside.” “Sustainable development” is just code for Marxist theories. Expansion of the “public commons” is an euphemism for nationalized resources. The Reds were not able to destroy capitalism in the past so they’re changing colors and using “environmental concerns” to further their Marxist goals.
Sensible Forest Management
Finally, a president who understands sensible forest management. Instead of Kow-towing to the environmental whackos, President Bush promotes thinning forests to reduce the risk of wildfires.
“The forest policy of our government is misguided policy. It doesn’t work,” Bush told Oregon residents who live near a wildfire blaze that is Oregon’s largest on record. “We need to thin. We need to make our forest healthy by using some common sense.”
After the Clinton-Gore years of mis-management, we’re seeing more dangerous forest fires. By the time Bush leaves office, we should be seeing fewer forest fires.
Oppose Terrorism
Harry Browne has a new list of how-to’s for the war against terror. Too bad Harry
isn’t on Bush’s intelligence committee, they could learn something from Browne. The most important thing on the list is “Don’t be nice to the terrorists.”
There are so many good things on Harry’s list of do’s and dont’s I’m tempted to duplicate the whole thing. I’ll just provide a second link instead.
False alarm or intentional lie?

false alarm or are the Greenpeace whackos telling lies? I
tend to think they’re lying. Greenpeace is known for “fudging
the facts.” They use psuedo-science to prove global warming.
You have to wonder when they show a photo of an activist
comparing an old photo with what the glacier looks like now.
What kind of science is that?
