2nd Amendment

According to the Government Accounting Office, background checks, such as those authorized by the Brady Law, have no effect on criminals. The Brady Law has denied firearms to thousands of individuals, with over 50% of the denials coming from administrative snafus, traffic violations, or reasons other than felony convictions. And in the first 18 months after the Brady Law was implemented, there were only seven successful prosecutions against people making false statements on Brady handgun purchase forms. Background checks don’t effect criminals at all, but they do hurt law abiding citizens!
