Moving Experience II

Topic: JournalWhen you step out on faith, God will let you know you’re doing the right thing. After I put down the deposit for our new townhouse rental yesterday, I was scared I hadn’t done the right thing. Today, my boss at Ahold comes to me and lets me know they really want to hire me, even if it means they have to buy out my contract with Ciber. As soon as they get the new position approved we should be all set.

Now if we can agree on a salary…

The Lord had said to Abram, “Leave your country, your people and your father’s household and go to the land I will show you.”–Genesis 12:1

What will the criminals think?

The cops in Atlanta
are thinking about href="http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20020423/ap_on_re_us/atlanta_scooters_3&printer=1"
>using segway scooters to chase down the
bad guys. Would this really work? How do you draw your weapon
and maintain control of the scooter? I suspect this program
would draw a few snickers from the criminals. I think the
thought of police on >Segway scooters is kinda’ funny.

It’s official, my
family will be moving to Greenville, SC. North Carolina has
been our home for the last 9 years and we’ll miss the Piedmont
Triad terribly. We found a townhouse to rent, it’s “just around
the corner” from my office.

I don’t usually post personal things on this blog, but I’m
going to start posting more things like this. They’ll show up
on their own Journal topic
page.

Blogs Replace Journalism?

Topic: NewsUpdate:
Who cares what you think? If you blog, you can find out.

Could blogging replace journalism? Blogs are much more personal than sites like Wired, Salon and Slate. Blogs are more a labor of love and a desire to share ideas with equals. Newspapers or even online news sites have journalists that sometimes talk down to people.

Truth About PP

Life

If you think that
Planned parenthood is a good organization, you need to know
these facts:

  • In 2000 PP took in a record $69 million by performing
    abortions
  • For every adoption referral, they aborted 79 babies.
(They’re not recommending a choice are they?)
  • Since 1995 the nubmer of PP abortions has increased
    41%
  • As of 1997, PP has killed over 3 million unborn
    babies
  • From 1985 through 2000, PP has received nearly $2.2
billion tax dollars (Why are taxpayers subsidizing them? Just
one more example of government waste, fraud and abuse.)
  • PP President, Gloria Feldt, receives a salary of $324,217
    a year
