Choice?

Topic: LifeHave you seen the new NARAL adds on TV? I saw the first one during the Olympics, right after Sarah Hughes won her gold medal. They must have picked this time because a lot of impressionable young girls were watching the ice-skating competition.

It starts out “I believe there’s a reason we are born with free will.” So far, so good, I believe that too. God gives us a free will.

Then a voice says “And I have a strong will to decide what’s best for my body, my mind, and my life. I believe in myself.” OK, that’s good too. Everyone should believe in herself. But, I’m worried about that “my body…my life” part.

Halting Gun Sales

Topic: 2nd AmendmentThere is one major mistake with this article. The ATF has delivered the new forms to all FFL’s. The form is available on the AFT’s web site at All a FFL has to do is go and visit the website and download the document. If they don’t have internet access, I’m sure they can find somebody who does. Most public libraries have publically accessible computers connected to the internet.

I would think just another 5 minutes of research would have been able to uncover this fact. I went to the ATF website and retrieved the new form myself in under 2 minutes.

Loopholes?

2nd Amendment

While their goals may be laudable, reduction in crime, gun-control groups have it all wrong. Their latest campaign is a proposal to trample all over law-abiding citizens constitutional rights.

Which rights? Let’s start with the 1st amendment. They want to ban classified gun sale ads in newspapers. A violation of the freedom of the press. Ironically, I don’t think the big newspaper publishers will object.

They obviously want to infringe on our 2nd amendment rights to own a gun. That almost goes without saying.

And what about the right of free association. We should be able to get together with anybody we want and exchange goods and services. Private citizens can sell whatever they want.
